NDIS Provider Unley | EDSA Disability SA

NDIS Provider Unley

Unley sits just south of the Adelaide CBD, one of the most established inner-city areas in the metro. The City of Unley council covers Unley itself, Parkside, Malvern, Wayville, Fullarton, Goodwood, and several adjacent suburbs. It is a short drive from the CBD but still has a distinct suburban character, which suits a lot of our NDIS participants. Close to services, easy to navigate, walkable village shopping strips, and good public transport.

Why participants in Unley choose EDSA

We are a registered NDIS provider with a home base at 122 Morphett Road, Glengowrie. Unley sits within our active service area and we already deliver supports to participants here every week. Support workers travel from Glengowrie and neighbouring suburbs, which keeps travel time and costs low for participants in your area.

What that means in practice: the same worker turning up each shift, reliable cover for cancellations, and a team who already knows the local area. We don’t sub-contract and we don’t use agency staff for regular shifts. Every EDSA worker is a direct employee with a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid, and any task-specific training needed for your plan.

About Unley

Unley is about 3km south of the Adelaide CBD. King William Road is the famous retail strip, running through Hyde Park and Unley with cafes, restaurants, and specialty shops. Unley Road and Goodwood Road are the main arterials. The Goodwood train line passes through, and several bus routes connect to the CBD. Housing is characterised by restored Victorian and Edwardian cottages, villas, and more recent infill townhouses. It is an expensive area, but participants living in long-established social housing or family homes here benefit from exceptional access to services.

How we match workers for Unley participants

Matching takes 20-30 minutes upfront. We ask about your daily routine, personality preferences, interests, cultural considerations, and any past experiences with support workers. We shortlist 2-3 workers whose profiles fit. You meet them, usually briefly, before the first shift. If the match works we set up your regular roster. If it doesn’t, we rematch without any awkwardness.

For Unley participants we prioritise workers who live in the area or travel regularly to it. Local workers are faster to respond to last-minute cover needs and are more familiar with nearby venues, GP clinics, community centres, and transport options.

Getting around Unley with EDSA

Transport to appointments, community activities, and shopping is one of the most-used supports we deliver. Common destinations include King William Road Hyde Park, Unley Shopping Centre, the Unley Swimming Centre, the Adelaide Showground at Wayville, Goodwood Village, and the nearby Ashford Hospital and Memorial Hospital. The CBD is a 10-minute drive or tram ride away. We drive participants to whichever destination suits their plan, or we support independent public transport use where that is a goal.

Book a consultation

A 20-minute consultation is enough to know whether EDSA fits what you’re looking for. We will ask questions, listen, and tell you honestly whether we can deliver what you need.
