NDIS Provider Adelaide CBD
Our CBD service area covers Adelaide and North Adelaide, the one-square-mile city centre and the adjacent suburb across the River Torrens. Living in the CBD or close to it changes what NDIS support looks like. Most of our city participants walk or use the free Adelaide Connector bus more than they use rideshare. Appointments, shops, and community venues are usually within 1-2km. Our city workers adapt to that with shorter, more frequent sessions rather than long blocks.
Why participants in Adelaide CBD choose EDSA
We are a registered NDIS provider with a home base at 122 Morphett Road, Glengowrie. Adelaide CBD sits within our active service area and we already deliver supports to participants here every week. Support workers travel from Glengowrie and neighbouring suburbs, which keeps travel time and costs low for participants in your area.
What that means in practice: the same worker turning up each shift, reliable cover for cancellations, and a team who already knows the local area. We don’t sub-contract and we don’t use agency staff for regular shifts. Every EDSA worker is a direct employee with a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid, and any task-specific training needed for your plan.
About Adelaide CBD
The Adelaide CBD is laid out in a grid inside four terraces (North, South, East, and West) surrounded by parklands. North Adelaide sits on the other side of the Torrens, with O’Connell Street and Melbourne Street as its main shopping strips. Public transport is excellent: free City Connector bus loops, Adelaide Metro trains, the Glenelg tram terminating at the end of King William Street, and bike paths through the parklands. For NDIS participants, the CBD offers proximity to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Calvary Adelaide Hospital, the Women’s and Children’s, numerous allied health practices, and almost every disability service in the state.

How we match workers for Adelaide CBD participants
Matching takes 20-30 minutes upfront. We ask about your daily routine, personality preferences, interests, cultural considerations, and any past experiences with support workers. We shortlist 2-3 workers whose profiles fit. You meet them, usually briefly, before the first shift. If the match works we set up your regular roster. If it doesn’t, we rematch without any awkwardness.
For Adelaide CBD participants we prioritise workers who live in the area or travel regularly to it. Local workers are faster to respond to last-minute cover needs and are more familiar with nearby venues, GP clinics, community centres, and transport options.
Getting around Adelaide CBD with EDSA
Transport to appointments, community activities, and shopping is one of the most-used supports we deliver. Common destinations include Rundle Mall, the Adelaide Central Market, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Calvary Adelaide Hospital, the Art Gallery of SA, the Adelaide Oval, O’Connell Street in North Adelaide, and Melbourne Street Hindmarsh Square community events. We drive participants to whichever destination suits their plan, or we support independent public transport use where that is a goal.

Frequently asked questions
Are you a registered NDIS provider in Adelaide CBD?
Yes. EDSA Disability is a registered NDIS provider with South Australian Department of Human Services approval. We cover Adelaide CBD (5000 and 5006) and surrounding suburbs including North Adelaide, Eastwood, Parkside (north edge), Thebarton, and Kent Town. The parklands bound the city so adjoining suburbs sit immediately beyond the ring road. Registration means we can support NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed participants.
How quickly can supports start in Adelaide CBD?
Can I keep my current provider for some services and use EDSA for others?
Do you cover surrounding suburbs too?
Yes. From our Adelaide CBD service area we cover suburbs including North Adelaide, Eastwood, Parkside (north edge), Thebarton, and Kent Town. The parklands bound the city so adjoining suburbs sit immediately beyond the ring road. If you live just outside our standard coverage, call us anyway, because we often extend into adjacent areas when participants need supports there.
